Layered Architecture Consistency for MANETs: Introducing New Team Members
نویسندگان
چکیده
In this paper we extend our results (as given in [PHE+07]) concerning the layered architecture for modeling workflows in Mobile Ad-Hoc NETworks (MANETs) using algebraic higher order nets. MANETs are networks of mobile devices that communicate with each other via wireless links without relying on an underlying infrastructure. Workflows in MANETs can be adequately modeled using a layered architecture, where the overall workflow, the team members’ activities and the mobility issues are separated into three different layers, namely the workflow layer, the mobility layer and the team layer. In [PHE+07] a formal notion of layer consistency was suggested. Here we extend that approach to allow changes of the interfaces of the gluing of the workflow and the mobility layer.

Maintaining Consistency in Layered Architectures of Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks
In this paper we present a layered architecture for modeling workflows in Mobile Ad-Hoc NETworks (manets) using algebraic higher order nets (aho nets). manets are networks of mobile devices that communicate with each other via wireless links without relying on an underlying infrastructure, e.g. in emergency scenarios, where an effective coordination is crucial among team members, each of them e...
متن کاملFilling Empty Seats: How Status and Organizational Hierarchies Affect Exploration versus Exploitation in Team Design
Informal and formal mechanisms affect choices between exploitation and exploration in team design. We argue that the status differentiation of team members and differences in organizational structure limit exploration in the form of introducing newcomers to teams and creating new combinations of team members. Highand low-status team members and oneand three-layer organizational structures were ...
متن کاملA prediction technique for disconnection detection serves as the basic layer of a pervasive architecture for cooperative work and activity coordination in MANETs
T he widespread availability of network-enabled handheld devices (for example, PDAs with Wi-Fi capabilities) has made the development of pervasive computing environments an emerging reality. MANETs (mobile ad hoc networks) are networks of mobile devices that communicate with one another via wireless links without relying on an underlying infrastructure.1 This distinguishes them from other types...
متن کاملLightweight Causal Cluster Consistency
Within an effort for providing a layered architecture of services supporting multi-peer collaborative applications, this paper proposes a new type of consistency management aimed for applications where a large number of processes share a large set of replicated objects. Many such applications, like peer-to-peer collaborative environments for training or entertaining purposes, platforms for dist...
متن کاملA Defensive Mechanism Cross Layer Architecture for Manets to Identify and Correct Misbehaviour in Routing
The emerging mobile technology has brought revolutionized changes in the computer era. One such technology of networking is Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETS), where the mobility and infrastructure less of the nodes takes predominant roles. These features make MANETS more vulnerable to attacks. As the research continues several aspects can be explored in this area. At the very first it can be the ...
